#im the lead translator working on the destiny 2 project

luminatales:

It’s with great joy and excitement that we can finally announce this project that’s been years in the making—what we call Lumina Destiny. The first part of that project? A full translation patch for Tales of Destiny 2 that will be available for both PSP and PS2!

This patch is being lovingly crafted from the ground up. We don’t just want to provide Tales of fans a translation of a game that has been left in the dark for nearly two decades; we want to elevate the game to allow every fan to have the best and most streamlined experience possible. Every line of text in the game will be not only translated into English but also edited with the aim of feeling as if you’re playing an official release.

While we don’t have a date to announce quite yet, we’re very excited to say that 75% of all text in the game has been translated, and 20% of the overall text has been edited and proofread.

In addition to a full patch for Tales of Destiny 2, we’re also working on Tales of Destiny: Director’s Cut! While we are much further along with Tales of Destiny 2, we’re committed to giving Tales of Destiny: Director’s Cut the same amount of care.

This means not only ensuring that all terminology and characters feel consistent between both games but also implementing features to further enhance the experience—such as battle subs! As we make progress on Tales of Destiny 2 and bring that patch closer to completion, more resources will be allocated to Tales of Destiny: Director’s Cut. You’ll be seeing plenty more of both in the future!
