Chishiya isn’t soft, he’s a very calm. He’s thoughful, careful, we all know that he thinks of every details before doing anything. So he though.
When you started to grow close, he still doesnt knwo how it happened tho, things started to get a bit more complicated for him…
You two first decided to form some kind of alliance. In this crazy world it’s better to have smart allies. You both wanted to steal the cards for yourself and for that two big brains were better than one. Plus, he already had the trust of the hatters somehow.
But why, day after day, while you went to play your game on your own, he started to worry ? why couldnt he just play his game, prepares his plans and think about it rationally ? When you werent with him, a part of his mind was always wondering how you were, where you were.

when you died, right in his arms, even looking at a card became painful for chishiya. him, who never liked human contact, would miss your warm hands around his when you wanted his full attention. him, who thought he could do everything in order to survive before meeting you. he, even if he thought he was better than everyone else, back then, couldn’t look at you in the eyes without a slight blush on his cheeks and a weird feeling in his chest. even he, who betrayed so many people and was ready to do so much more, he missed you. seeing you, dying during this game, losing consciousness while poison was slowly killing you, stopping your vitals organs one by one, he coudn’t think of anything else than your face, painted with pain but still trying to mask it with your brightest smile, the last one your offered to him. he was full of regrets, for not giving you the attention you deserved, not showing you how he enjoined secretly all the moment you shared even if he looked pissed. angry at himslef for not realising sooner how he felt, and even if he did, he knew he would not have done anything about it. angry at the world, the borderlands for making those games up. but mostly angry at you, yes you, to sacrifice yourself in order to save him, to gave your whole heart and life for him when he wanted you to be by his side, heart beating loud and fast, eyes wide open to see the world. the borderlands stole the humanity of so many, so why didn’t you gave up on yours ? why did you saved him when you could live ? he was angry at those games for killing you, for making you live this life among monsters like him on this crazy land.
the cards were heavy in his pocket, almost beating like a human heart would. and while he was walking down the corridor, ready to leave the beach and its devils residents, he tought about you and how his night under the starry night felt empty and cold now.
because i love angsty stuff i’m gonna give you the toxic traits of chishiya (i’ll made another post with the good things about the boy don’t worry) *show version*

> he doesnt want to give you any privacy because knowing everything about you might help him in the future
> being close to chishiya is dangerous because you don’t know if he will or not betray you unless you’re a big brain like him and can anticipe his move
> he doesnt really talk about himself, he could already know everything about you and you wouldn’t even know his favorite color or his birthdate
> doesnt talk about his plan, not completly, to anyone, he know what he will do and will tell you to do what to do but you’ll never know what’s coming next. it doesnt help to feel safe around him

i hated shibuki, but i’m reading the manga and wtf, why did the drama makes her such a bitch

in the show the literal two seconds of “good shibuki” content were when she hugs chota before…yk…boom
anyways the rest of the time she was a real bitch i swear, okay she had to sacrifice that girl for surviving but she didn’t show any good emotion at all
(i don’t think it’s a bad thing, it’s also a part of the human race and i love this kind of representation)
but it’s just unfair for the character !
in the manga shibuki could survive and become the wolf during the 7 of heart’s game, she could but instead she decided to let arisu live. she is the one who said “live for us” not chota (chota did great things too but it’s another story)
she also had a lot of fun with the guys in the manga, they laughed and all and then a huge fight kinda broke them apart but this is the two faced human perfect representation
i love psychology and in this kind of situation (kinda apocalyptic where they’re life are in the line) the ‘real’ face of the person shows. there would be shibuki in the show’s type of reaction and manga’s type of reaction (+ the ones like chishiya, niragi, usagi etc…)
but i’m really sad that in the show shibuki was just “the bitch” i hated her and i was glad when she died but her death in the manga made me feel bad
i just think this poor lady deserved better (i absolutely love the show dont get me wrong)
okay so i’m reading the Alice in Borderland’s manga (i need answer and more chishiya content dont mind me) and alnsobzksisj there’s of course a few different things but the “ ep 3 ” hit still really hard
i’ll probably make a post or two about it with warnings for the spoilers
can someone explain why alice in borderland beacame my second favorite comfort show ? (the first is haikyuu but whatever) and why am i rewatching it now ?
