My mind and feelings are trapped by longings
But what of my soul?
The beast out of control
What of my soul?
That roamed the world whole
What of my soul?
As white as snow yet wrapped in coal
What of my soul?
That saved and ravaged, that returned and stole?
What of my soul?
Lonely, waltzing in a haunted ball
What of my soul?
That climbed every mountain and loved every knoll
What of my soul?
Is it as trapped? Or as free and fierce as a dhole?
Trapped it is… Meant to long and thole.
For a love that changed it whole
From a slave into a king who owns it all.
