seeing flags everywhere for 4th of july freedom day feels like such a joke as a marginalized person. i’m not fucking free, am i? the government in my state is insisting i and people like me are pedophiles and groomers while actively passing legislation to criminalize our existence, fascist hate groups are attacking people out in the open at pride in my hometown and yet they have more representatives in national government than queer people or POC, and the only other viable party refuses to do absolutely anything for the sake of Posterity. and i’m even leaving out entire books’ worth of shit going on on top of this. what a fucking nightmare
