This week I had a conference with Meili’s ballet school Western Ballet, in regards to diversity and inclusion.
For years Meili has been singled out, it’s unclear if she was singled out for being the only darker skinned student in the class. The other ballet students ethnicities are Caucasian, Indian and Asian.
I provided actionable solutions suggestions and also provided links to articles to help implement friendship and team building.
The director sent me an email this morning. Read the attached screenshot.
