The nightmares you’re experiencing are a symptom of the poison, invading your dreams and twisting them to suit the demon’s needs. However, I’d hoped that with the antidote and the demon being dead, it wouldn’t linger as it has,” Yakurōdokusen explained before sitting back and folding his hands into his own sleeves.

Silence fell between the two for a moment before the master of potions spoke once again, “Tell me, what of your nightmares?”

“I —” Inuyasha racked his mind for any semblance of what could have frightened him so, but only turned of fractures of what they could be, “There’s…some kid hangin’ out by the sacred tree back in my village…” he began, “Kinda looks like Kagome…but not really; can’t really see her face anyway.”

Yakurōdokusen remained quiet as the hanyou continued.

“I keep seein’ her just standing there, lookin’ up at the place where I was sealed,” he added before closing his eyes and rubbing one of them with the palm of his hand, “And…before she can turn around somethin’ comes through the trees and grabs her. I dunno why, but it terrifies me every time. The way she screams, it’s like she callin’ out to me but…it’s not my name.”
