Yellow? Green? Blue? Male Tiana (Ty? Tion? T?) has been fun to design for! Before I move onto shading, I need to pick a final design. Which of these designs immediately makes you think of Tiana from Princess and the Frog? OR, do you have another idea for him altogether?

.:Aquarius ♒️ - The Moon Siren

The rarest of all mermaids, the moon siren is barely ever seen. Residing in the deepest parts of the ocean, the travel closer to the surface as the moon cycle shifts. Only coming above water during a full moon. Recognized by their infamous white tail, to see one in person can be life changing.

Their hydrokinetic abilities include healing, shape shifting, and teleportation. With a deep passion for humanitarianism, they travel through the many oceans of the world aiding their siren sisters in any way they can. Moon Sirens are the only mermaids that go out of their way to communicate with other siren types.

It’s said that during the full moon cycle they can turn their tail into a pair of legs. Giving them the opportunity to walk on land and explore cities and towns closest to their oceans. Blending in perfectly within the human world. If you spot an unusually beautiful woman out during the next full moon, it might just be a moon siren.

.:Cancer ♋️ - The Hypno Siren

Sensitive and alluring, the Hypno Siren is one of the more mysterious of the siren types. Their hypnotic abilities are quite powerful, only taking one second for them to pull you into their gaze. Found mostly in caves, both underwater and inland, these sirens are very family oriented. Often creating small settlements that hold strong through multiple generations.

One of the most powerful sirens, they are not to be trifled with. Along with hypnosis, Hypno sirens can also use their natural empathy abilities offensively. It’s said that with one touch, they can make a happy person sad, or vice versa. Their signature black clawed fin can be used as both a tool and a weapon. With a mind-boggling 3,000 pounds per square inch of crushing force, you probably wouldn’t escape an altercation with a Hypno Siren alive.

.:Virgo ♍️ - The Rose Siren

One of the most beautiful creatures you will ever see, the Rose Siren is both graceful and modest. Often found near Caribbean islands or secluded areas of the ocean, these mermaids enjoy their privacy. Often creating small cliques of only 2-4 members, they are very selective about whom they can trust.

Recognized by their infamous Rose fin (a prized collectable for many hunters), these petal-cover creatures are quite a vision. They shed their petals about once a day, leaving petals all across the ocean floor. And while they come in a variety of different colors, including pink, black, blue and white, the most common is Crimson.

Because they appear to be so delicate, Rose Sirens are often the target of pirates and hunters. But every rose has its thorns! These beauties are no damsels. Hidden in there scales are thousands of projectable thorns to help protect them against predators and mermaid hunters. They are also quite skilled at concocting potions and booby traps.

Screw being a damsel in distress, be a Rose Warrior!

You won’t mistake these flame tailed sirens for any other breed. The Nova Siren is . Courageous leaders, but also compassionate friends. You wouldn’t know it by looking at them.

Often mistaken as demons or succubus’, their fiery exterior can scare even the toughest of suitors. They can easily be described as…Scary. Ram like horns. Fiery eyes. Blood red skin. Lava like hair. And their molten lava tails and chest. And don’t you dare piss one off, it’s been said that they can breath fire!
These crimson skinned creatures can be found inside the hottest volcanoes all over the world. Some say that their molten lagoons can even be found within the earths core. They don’t like sitting around doing nothing. So who knows where you could run into one?

These sirens live their lives in ways others wouldn’t dare! And they’d have it no other way.

.:Pisces ♓️ - The Frost Siren

A true enigma, the Frost Siren is rarely seen by mankind. Because they are so sensitive to heat, these mermaids can only be found in the coldest areas around the world. Though they won’t melt, heat can cause their icy exterior exterior to weaken and crack. Through many years of evolution, they’ve adapted and have evolved multiple layers of ice.

Icy and cold on the outside, warm and loving within. The frost sirens intuitive nature has helped the breed hide from mankind for centuries. In fact, if you do spot one, it’s said to bring you a lifetime of good luck. Kind yet secretive, these sirens are know for their unwillingness to be captured by hunters. True escapists, they can morph into all three form of water,(liquid, solid, steam), this makes capturing them virtually impossible.
That’s not Jack Frost nipping at your nose! It might be a frost siren!

.:Gemini ♊️- The Double Finned Siren

The only breed of mermaid with two separate tails, the Double Finned Siren is quite unique. While most mermaids have a distinctive look, these sirens come in a variety of different color combinations and skin tones. Adaptable to many different climate types, you can find these sirens in the deepest sections in oceans all over the world.
Recognized by their neon hair and glittery fins, you won’t mistake them for any other breed. Witty and adventurous, these mermaids make use of their Double fins by competing in a variety of different games and sports. They are also known to come up with their own distinctive dialects within personal relationships. Lively to the core, you won’t be bored dealing with these beauties.

You can’t change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your sails to always reach your destination.

Powered by the power of the sun itself, Sun Sirens are a mystery even amongst their own kind. With abilities ranging from pyrokinesis to mind control, these beauties can be quite deadly. Identified by their golden Armor, glittering tail, and their unforgettable gaze, these mermaids are a complete force of nature. They live in secret locations all throughout the world. Protecting the ocean from deadly forces of the deep. Gifted warriors, but also extraordinary caretakers, sun siren live with many different mer-creatures that train and care for for most their entire lives. Their warrior temperament can be looked at as a bit bombastic to some, but they truly mean no harm. Warm-hearted but fierce, the Sun siren is a true vision to behold. Though not for too long. It’s said that if you stare into the eyes of a Sun siren for too long, you may never be able to see again.

Having a large capacity for love and kindness, Soul sirens are amongst the most humanitarian of all mermaids. These Jellyfish-tailed beauties spend their days searching the ocean for wounded sea creatures, healing them with their unique abilities. Knowing that humans account for most of the harm done toward sea life, Soul Sirens typically live close to beaches, in hopes of being able to act fast if need be. Often times mistaken for large Jellyfish, they can easily camouflage themselves out in the wild to avoid capture. Don’t take their selflessness for weakness though, those horns can be turned into a deadly set of weapons if they feel threatened.

Mysterious and elusive, The blood siren is one of the most rare all mermaids. Finding beauty in even the darkest things, the make jewelry out of skeletal remains, and make homes out of the skeletal remains of whales and other large sea creatures. Their unusual features often scare would be predators or poachers away! Ash gray skin, Blood red eyes, red claws, and their unmistakable stinger, which can secrete either a euphoric plasma to friends or a deadly toxin foes. The effects of the sting is up to you.
