This coat is interesting because it appeared on both stage and screen. The coat was worn in the 2015 premiere of the play Taken at Midnight, where it was worn on Penelope Wilton as Irmgard. Wilton wore the same coat again for the sixth and final 2015 season of Downton Abbey.

i have never seen a single episode of the downton abbey tv show and i went to go see the movie with my best friend. and holy shit. it can stand alone, it’s beautiful, it’s sweet, it’s gay (i promise), and i sobbed. thanks for coming to my ted talk, im gonna be talking about this for while now.
given how the last movie ended i was worried this one would end this way and i hate it my heart just breaks for isobel i never wanted this for her she’s all alone now
