Summer Solstice Spread

This spread is made by @delphidivination. :)

I decided to do this lovely spread for the summer solstice, the deck I am using for this is called “The Raven’s Prophecy” by Maggie Stiefvater. I personally love using this deck for the amazing artwork she portrays on each card and the amazing and detailed descriptions she has for each card you draw. She also has many different spreads to choose from, such as 10 card spreads, 6 card and 4 card spreads.

1: What I should leave in the past:

For this I drew the Three of Wands, which usually says it is now the time to think about others. Sometimes it could mean to collaborate, or seek advice. The cards artwork portrays a raven above a live fire, It is not a ferocious flame that needs to be tamed, but instead a campfire which require your attention in order to persist. It’s also a fire which would look good with friends around it. To draw this for me it means I should let go of my depression revolving moving away from my friends. Also, it means instead of thinking of others so much, maybe I need to think of myself from time to time.

2: What I should take into the future:

On this I drew the Judgment card, and when the Judgment card appears, it’s giving you yet another opportunity to look back on your life. It isn’t as terrifyingly drastic like the death card, or the tower card, instead now that you have survived all those changes, you’re standing at a crossroad with an opportunity to become something new once more.. yet you don’t have to, you can stay the way you are right now, because this card isn’t a warning.

3: Spirits/Deities watching over me:

On this I pulled the Eight of Swords. When you pull this card, it usually means you’ve met your worst enemy, the enemy that the tarot deck constantly talks about, but never points fingers at. The Devil card points firmly at this enemy and so does this card… the enemy, is you. When this card appears, it’s good news and bad news. You have everything you need to escape your current painful situation. It’s right there and it could be over today. The only bad news is that you don’t want to, and you are, after all, your worst enemy. Something is keeping you in place, a battle rages inside you, and so you remain motionless. For me this card speaks loud. I was sort of aware that this would come up, yet I’m unsure of what it means in this category. Perhaps no deities watch over me, perhaps they feel as though I need to take myself out of this situation, without their help… hm..

4: A challenge I will need to conquer before Midwinter:

Here I pulled the Seven of Wands, and when you pull this card, it means it’s time to defend yourself. You have the high ground, so at least you can hold this close when the enemy comes at you. This card usually means that you find yourself being attacked, often on a personal level. You’re outnumbered, with only your wits, experience, and principles to defend yourself. You’ll need to be strategic to protect yourself. Rally all your wits and confidence to keep yourself on course, because sometimes being good at what you do won’t be enough. Stay on course, be as clever as you can, and don’t compromise your principles.

5: A quality/skill I will need to master:

And last but not least, I pulled the Ten of Swords for this one. This card warns of an agonizing and brutal conclusion, and the worst part, is that it was quite probably your own fault. Often this card is a result of you ignoring all the warnings and now you reap the black harvest you have sowed. So I took this as needing to listen to all my warnings before it gets to this. Paying close attention to the little signs, and getting rid of my ignorance.

Anyways to conclude my self tarot reading I would like to thank @delphidivination for letting me use this amazing tarot spread, have an amazing summer solstice and blessed be!
