Sometimes I remember that the warriors were child soldiers, brainwashed from birth to hate Eldians, that they were experimented on and tortured by Marley, forced into a position by fellow Eldians, their family, and Marleyian government that they didn’t fully comprehend (bc yknow they were children) and force to commit horrible atrocities, all without understanding the full scope of the position they were in. And then they were hated by the people of Paradis, for good reason, and hated back home for being Eldians, “good eldians” be damned, and they never once caught a break from the horribly cruel world they were brought into
