The opening scene of the original 1986 transformers movie is the most perfect depiction of cosmic horror i have ever seen in animation tbh. In the beginning the movie takes its time to show us this buzzling alien society where people are just living their normal everyday lives only for all of this is to be abruptly shattered when unicron devours the planet and all of its inhabitants with it. All the while the audience gets a disturbingly intimate look at his inner workings. We get to see exactly what happens to those poor souls he eats and how they literally fuel him. Billions people and the culture they had created were nothing but a little snack to this behemoth and it didn’t even satiate his hunger because he pretty much immediately moves on to his next meal
