every time he nails a spike over the net, his fierce golden eyes are trained on you, drinking in your praise like he’s parched, and your heart skips a beat when after a particularly intense volley he points directly at you in the stands and gives you the most bright, absolutely glowing smile, as if to tell you he’s working extra hard because you’re watching.
after practice he introduces you to the team on their way to the locker room, saying things that make your head spin, like, “hinata, this is who I telling you about!” and the way hinata looks at you and then seems to remember something makes you flush, but you can’t tell exactly why.
