When someone’s fever is so high that everything around them seems to have a weird kind of sheen or haze to it, like they’re looking at the world through a heat haze…and when the caretaker is trying to get a good look at them as they’re sitting there dazed it’s so hard to keep their eyes open and the whole room looks weird and dimmed and smudged…they just want to feel better…
