inusmasha:

I wish more people would explore Kagome’s decision to go back to the Feudal Era without the context of her romantic relationship with Inuyasha (as much as I adore inukag).

I’m just saying that I think it’s beautiful that a modern girl somehow found a home in world full of danger and wilderness. I mean to take on the responsibility of being a miko and aiding the village is one thing (that’s the kind of person kagome is tbh so no surprise there) but I want to believe that she genuinely fell in love with the past’s way of life.

It must of felt so good to walk under those huge green trees, breathe in that fresh air and look up at those enormous big blue skies. She learned to look at all those plants and herbs as medicine for her community. Heck, to be a miko is to acknowledge the spiritual connection that human beings have with nature! How does that not fundamentally change a persons perspective? How could she not go back?

Maybe we can look at her choice less as a “sacrifice” and more like Kagome chose what was best for her. Give your favs some agency! Kagome is a wonderful character for so many reasons and a lot of it has nothing do with her romantic relationships.

,,,,also as a reminder !!

We are inseparable from nature no matter how far we “progress” in a modern sense. Nature feels good! And we are part of it! And most importantly we should feel inspired to take care of it!
