Why is Frankie’s depression suddenly not “real” just because it stems from a relationship with a boy? Why is depression used in quotation marks to describe it?

Depression in all forms is valid and it’s fucking stupid how people are claiming hers isn’t real just because it comes from a relationship. Like???

People develop depression from NUMEROUS things be it genetic or something that happened in their life or both and I just???? How shitty is that to invalidate hers when there are hundreds of thousands of people who probably suffer from depression because of a relationship.
