A Touch of Hygge
With the autumn and winter months upon us in the northern hemisphere, it’s time for a bit of hygge! I had originally thought this little set would become something bigger, so it’s been sitting around half-done for awhile now, but ‘tis the season, so I’ll just release what I have! I give my deepest apologies to all who get annoyed that the world has taken the Danish concept of cosiness and turned it into an aesthetic, but man I love it so much.

Twist on a Classic Door
Okay well no, it’s not really a twist. Just a second version! This is the same door as earlier, but with white trim instead and a brighter color palette. It’s made on a base game door. Enjoy!

Did you know that there is only one EA door with a normal door knocker, and it was only just added to the game with Strangerville? & did you know that prior to Strangerville, there was also only one door with a letter slot, and it was a clear glass office door that came with Get to Work? Yeah. EA hates classic front doors apparently, because there sure aren’t any in game. Slowly but surely I’m gonna fix that I guess. This door is base game!

Solid Craftsmanship Door
Hey folks! Still obsessed with doors over here. I have an inspo folder of doors I want to make, and it keeps getting more out of hand as every week goes by. Today I combined 2 doors, adding the solid woodwork from a Jungle Adventure door onto the base game goodness of a simple single-tile door. It comes in 26 swatches, also a combo deal of @mlyssimblr‘s EA Wood Palette, and the colors I used on my Shut the Front Door set. Enjoy!

I always feel a lack in the ‘front door’ department when I’m building, because nothing that comes with the game really looks like what I see around where I live. So today I took a plain door that came with Get Together (required), and added a letter slot and kick plate to make it a classier door that you’d love to have on the front of your home! Comes in 15 swatches.

Tin Siding
Hey everyone! I loved the new Corrugated Metal siding that came with the Strangerville game pack, but the dirty grungy textures not so much. So I recolored them real quickly in the Art Deco paletteby@ridgeport, plus white, grey, and black (15 swatches total). This does still require Strangerville to show up. Enjoy!

2019 Yearly Calendar
Maybe we won’t even need 2019 calendars, considering the Tumblr apocalypse looming on the horizon, but I figured I should get these out anyway. Just in case! I procrastinated so horribly on the 2018 calendars they actually never happened, so I wanted to get a little head start this time, lmao. So today I’m bringing you 17 swatches of 2019 calendars, on a mesh converted by @mxims. I didn’t realize I did so many moon phase calendars, but I play a lot of witchy sims and the like, and they all look so neat! So enjoy!

Javabean’s Home for Bees
There seems to be no logical reason why only the tops of these bee hives were painted, while the bottoms were left in a wild assortment of wood tones. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the asphalt shingle roof, when there are so many far cuter options. So behold! Cuter bee homes for your cute bees!

Holiday Hoarder Decoration Box
Really, EA? Three swatches. Three swatches of plastic storage totes. The dollar store has more color options than that. I couldn’t even place this thing in my sims’ households until I recolored it, so here we are: 15 fancy new swatches of the decoration box that came with Seasons! (which is required) Now you can festoon your fences and foundations with festive flounces, without a plastic eyesore hiding out in some dark corner. ‘Cause it’s cute plastic now!

Fair-Weather Friend
Amidst all the Seasons hype right now, I suddenly visualized a cute little garden gnome in a Christmas sweater sitting on a snowy doorstep, and I immediately needed to make it happen. Once I got started, the idea for one wearing a raincoat popped up too, and so that’s what I have for you today! There are 12 swatches total: 6 raincoats and 6 winter sweaters, all on one adorable base game gnome. Enjoy!

TS4 Windows Desktop Icons!
I’ve had this idea sort of bopping around in my head for awhile, and I finally decided to sit down and see if I could do it! It took quite a bit of trial-and-error, trying to track down programs that were both free and able to do what I needed, but dang it if I didn’t actually manage it!
So included in the download is one .dll file, which has 496 extracted icons from The Sims 4 base game and its various add-on packs. I could not include all 1000+ of the icons from the game, because Windows could not read them all at once. I think the hardest part of this whole process was picking and choosing which icons made the final cut! I tried to just remove duplicates and similar icons, but in the end I did have to start choosing which icons I felt would be the most useful as desktop icons. Sorry if any of your favorites aren’t included!!
How To Use:
- After downloading, place the .dll file somewhere you won’t move it! It needs to stay put so your computer always knows where to find the images.
- Choose a folder icon on your desktop you want to change. Right-click, and choose ‘Properties’.
- Go to the ‘Customize’ tab and select ‘Change Icon’.
- Select ‘Browse’, and navigate to where you placed the .dll file. Select ‘Open’.
- Choose which icon you’d like to use, and select ‘OK’.
- Select ‘OK’ again, and voila!
To change the ‘Recycle Bin’ icon is a little bit different, but if you just Google how to, it’s still pretty simple! & that’s it! I hope some other people will get use from this, it was a fun thing to try and do. Gonna say right now though that I don’t know anything about Macs! I won’t be able to help anyone with a Mac, or make another version of this for Macs. Sorry!

Queen of Summer Succulent Crown
The other day I saw this gorgeous succulent crownby@voidfeather-cc and I absolutely needed it in more colors! What if an occasion presented itself and I didn’t have the perfect succulent crown for it?? Absolutely shocking. So I brewed up 10 more swatches, in a good range of succulent-appropriate colors. The mesh is included (thanks to @voidfeather-cc for the awesome TOU!) This works for all genders/frames as well! It’s not just queen-exclusive.

Spring Cleaning Washer & Dryer
I actually started this recolor set less than a week after Laundry Day came out, but I’m telling you… I had some deep internal struggle over what colors to use! A months-long battle between the logic that these appliances don’t really come in colors other than black and white, and knowing that no one would want to download anything with just 2 swatches! But yesterday @peacemaker-ic posted a couple of his color palettes, and that Airy Hamptons one… it spoke to me. It was finally time to recolor some washing machines!
My main goal with these recolors was to make them less EA-stylized, and more versatile and basic, so they’d fit into any home. I’ve personally never seen washers or dryers with a black rubber bumper on the bottom, and that bizarre red/purple metal in place of a proper chrome had to go, for sure. I think it’s an improvement, and I hope you do as well!

Jungle Mosaic Tiles
I got a lil’ request from @jaigny to make tile floors to match the walls that came with the Jungle Adventure pack, and it was a great idea! It seemed pretty simple and straightforward, so I went ahead and gave it a go. These floors come in all 10 tile designs of the original walls, and are base game compatible!

Plaster Perfection
Walls! After a year and a half of refusing to make any more walls, behold! A recolor of my very favorite base game wall, Pretty in Plaster. (+ credit to @magnolianfarewell for subtly mentioning to me every month or two about how much she loved this wall too…) This comes in 16 new colors, each with the cute little brick still peeking through! Why only use this wall in half your homes, when you could use it in ALL your homes?! ;) Enjoy!

Cozy Cups Mug Rack
Hey everyone! Just a small little thing for you today. I revisited a mug rack from the base game that I recolored about 2 years ago, and made it in 12 new swatches using colors from the Cottage Garden palette! I realized that I hardly ever use this mug rack anymore, because the colors I did originally don’t match my current game style. I’m more dark and brooding now I guess, lmao. Hope you like it! Rifle Paper Co. Wall Decals
I want to start by saying that these are imperfect!! They were cut out from white backgrounds, and though I did try my best to get them as clean as possible, there are still little scrappy bits of white around some of the edges. Because of this, these decals do not look as nice on darker colored walls (as you can see in the second image). For my purposes, aka casual gameplay, I think they look decent enough and wanted to share them anyway, but they may not be suitable for everyone. With that being said, here are 6 Rifle Paper Co flower designs to adorn any light-colored wall you wish!

Sandy the Snowman
I actually really like the ‘sandman’ that EA gave us in the December 12th patch, but I knew that I would never end up using it in my game. In the 3 years since TS4 came out, I’ve never played a family in Oasis Springs! So I turned this cutie into a proper snowman, with 16 solid colored scarf swatches in the Cottage Garden palette, plus 12 patterns!

Cottage Bun Sweater
Fun fact!! My second ever recolor for The Sims 4 was this sweater! So you can actually already snag it in brights and a few pastels, but my game style has changed over the past couple of years, and I wanted these festive sweaters in a more muted palette. My new favorite for that has been the Cottage Garden palette from @plumbobteasociety, so enjoy this throwback in 16 new colors!

Unplaid Dress
The shirt dress from Cats and Dogs was super cute, but I don’t want plaid on ALL of them! I thought EA had learned about giving us blank swatches… I guess not. So I took a couple hours and some very helpful tips from @deetron-sims on how to remove patterns from EA stuff, and did just that! So here are 18 plain swatches for now, patterns will probably come later. BUT! I have also uploaded the PSD, so everyone is welcome to take this blank base and pattern it to their heart’s content!

Lumber Tables
Today I have recolors of two tables that came with the Cats and Dogs expansion pack! First is the Basic Lumber Hallscape console table, which comes in 15 plain wood swatches, and then the Painted Lumber Hallscape console table, which is 16 distressed paint swatches in @plumbobteasociety‘s Cottage Garden palette AND 8 Rifle Paper Co distressed swatches! As a bonus, I also recolored the Basic Lumber dining table in 15 plain wood swatches.

Could Use More Taste Sofa
EA called this sofa “Could Use More Pillows”. Well, the number of pillows was fine, but the patterns, colors, and excessive buttons seriously called their taste into question and left significant room for improvement. Floral & Autumn Wall Banners
