My piece for @acemisweek! I’ve had this ask meme responsefrom@aporeticelenchus saved in my drafts for… yeah I don’t even know how long, intending to illustrate it, and I realized that this would be the perfect excuse.
I am kind of fond of imaging them as canon-divergent QPPs or something of that sort after Javert’s change of heart. Just Javert and Valjean in their strange old man home living strange lives of fated destiny together. Neither of them dies because of Feelings.
Sometimes Valjean reads the newspaper at Javert just to watch him scowl.
