You had first met Steve at Tony’s New Year’s Eve party after they had saved NYC, and the world, from an alien invasion. Your boss had insisted on your presence, even though you would have been just as happy at home on your couch with your French bulldog. Steve had somehow spotted you and introduced himself with the corniest joke. “What does a fish say when it runs into a wall?”
“Excuse me?” you had asked with a tiny smirk. His blue eyes sparkled as he asked again. “I don’t know. What does a fish say when it runs into a wall?”
