John came home early that night.
He’d been so quiet in his arrival that you only knew he was home when he wrapped his arms around your waist, causing you to jump before he pushed his face into your neck from behind.
“God, John, you gave me a scare!” You shrieked before nuzzling your head atop his, “How was the studio tonight?” You asked, your voice now softer.
He only groaned in response, his arms tightening around you as he leaned heavily into your body.
“Tired, eh?” You questioned, a soft giggle escaping from your mouth.
He hummed in agreement, quite literally leaning against you.
“Let’s move to the bed, love,” You said quietly, pushing John away from you to hook an arm around his torso.
You walked, with John leaning heavily against you, to your bedroom, helping John climb into the bed before walking around to the other side to sit at his side.
You propped yourself up against the headboard, watching as John crawled his way to you, resting his head in your lap.
You smiled fondly at your boyfriend, taking a hand and running your hand through his long hair.
He looked so peaceful while he fell asleep in your lap, and you could tell that he was thoroughly exhausted from the long hours in the studio.
Even if he came home like this every day for the rest of your lives, you’d never trade it for the world to have moments like this with your John.
