I haven’t posted anything SoL-related for what seems like ages. I’ve been reading two John Hancock biographies at a time, though, and I’m having great time with them. I am very much in love with the real John, too.
So, here be his portrait. In SoL he mentions to General Gage it’s by Copley, and offers to introduce them. Which is hilarious, because it turns out Copley DID paint a portrait of General Gage. :-)
