Who am I?? Someone must remember me!

I was found deceased on the southbound D train tracks at the 145th St and St. Nicholas Avenue Station in NYC on June 23, 1997.

I was thought to be between 20-30 years old, 5'7" in height, and I have brown eyes. I have a very distinctive USMC tattoo on my upper left arm. It says “ 1st Force Recon - Death before Dishonor”. Was I a US Marine?

Please help me find my way home!!
