Do you ever think about how Crowley doesn’t expect anything out of his relationship with Aziraphale? Like it’s been thousands of years and sometimes Aziraphale won’t even admit they’re friends and still Crowley just wants to spend time with him and do him favors and take him out to eat? And when they fight, it’s always him who appologizes, who reaches out again no matter how much it wasn’t his fault?
Like yeah he’s been in love a long time but he has literally no hope that will ever go anywhere? His acts of service aren’t actually an attempt to woo Aziraphale, not really. He just loves Aziraphale as a person, as a friend so much he’s happy to just hang out and bask in his presence and give him his love whenever he can, whether any of it is ever recipicated or not. 6000 years ago, Aziraphale told him he gave away his flaming sword and Crowley has been ride or die ever since.
