I love a good solid costume change, because theatrics are never waste on me. But it’s important that a) what you’re wearing to start with still makes a good first impression b) what you change into be more stunning that what you started with.

Kana’s dress succeeds on both counts. 

Check out the back, and how the layers of the first costume become layers of her skirt that move beautifully! Also Chris is rocking a pretty solid grey ombre for contrast. 

Also, if I may say, this has to be one of my favorite free dances of the season. Maybe even my favorite. It was just a joy every time, and it kept getting better.
