#keep my children safe

LIVE

celesteiums:

ok let’s do this

[major kudos to @everssball for giving me her input on what would totally happen at the tagatha wedding]

[you can find the rest of my tagatha wedding headcanons here]

note: most of this was written before the ever never handbook came out and may not reflect the ruinedcharacter development that took place therein

- per wedding tradition, the royal couple to-be-wed was discouraged to see each other before the wedding on their wedding (tedros couldn’t resist pecking Agatha on the cheek at least once tho and argued that their courtship was anything but traditional)

- the camelot folk were warned beforehand that the guests would include tedros and agatha’s former schoolmates, but they couldn’t hide their shock regardless when Nevers suddenly arrived at the gates (especially when three of them claimed - 2 of them doing so grudgingly - that they were bridesmaids)

- the league of thirteen show up (tHE OFFICIAL GATECRASHERS)

briar rose spent the whole ceremony remarking that it was quite lovely but and also “mildly complaining” why less people showed up to her and Jack’s wedding (“we practically uphold the standard of fairy tales yet more people pay respect to these kids’ wedding?” “rose please dont cause a scene”)

hansel and gretel keep yelling about when will the reception take place cause minutes later they were already hungry

tinker bell offered to shower agatha in a rain of fairy dust as she walked down the aisle but agatha said that she’d rather have a simple walk without having another to thing to worry about (“like what if i sneeze while walking? the castle would never live it down”)

- the coven - or at least hester and anadil - “declined” agatha’s request to be her bridesmaids at first, but with “gentle” encouragement from dot and sophie (plus the excuse to roam through the castle of one of Good’s greatest kingdoms) made them reconsider the offer later on

- sophie had spent the night prior to the day to help agatha prepare herself for the wedding, so they had one last sleepover where both of them were still single and so they spent the night reminiscing on their childhood and all the things that they’ve been through leading up to this moment (plus Sophie of course teased agatha about the wedding night ;) )

- sophie was basically the powerhouse behind “the wedding of the century” (as she dubbed); she often argued with the official wedding planner until the guy declared that sophie would do better job (others claimed that they heard the dean of evil threatening him though a few days before)

- guinevere and lancelot visit tedros minutes before he needed to leave for the hall to tell him how proud they were of him and how they’d never even dared dream that they’d be able to witness this chapter of tedros’ life (guinevere’s eyes turn glassy here :’( ) and tedros is already getting emotional from the whole thing so he hugs his mother and claps lancelot’s back in affection

lancelot defuses the emotional moment by reminding him to make good on the grandchildren he promised them and guinevere’s like “LANCELOT!!” but later joins him in laughing at tedros’ flustered expression

- merlin comes up to tedros later asking him if he’s ready and if he remembers what to do and tedros replies that he should give him credit at least for his own wedding day (merlin cheekily reminds him then to keep the wedding kiss chaste and they should save the energy for the wedding night)

- meanwhile the coven and sophie are in a flurry around agatha since the ceremony is about start (anadil sends her rats to report on what’s happening in the hall where the wedding will take place “tedros doesn’t look like he’s about to bolt” “good i’d hate to kill the groom on their wedding day” - hester) and dot is wondering how chocolate flowers would taste like as she marvels at the bouquet she’s holding

- sophie and agatha have a really dramatic moment when the procession’s about to start (“sophie i never could’ve found such deep happiness without you” “i feel the same way too aggie - aAAHH STOP CRYING YOU’LL RUIN YOUR MAKEUP” “i thought you used the waterproof kind”)

- so the groomsmen and the bridesmaids are going to be paired in the procession (a fact that dot has no problem with) and chaddick - as the Best Man - shares a few laughs with sophie about how this has got to be the most remarkable wedding in fairy tale history and Sophie’s like “of course darling i HAVE HAD A HAND IN IT OF COURSE"

- ok so it’s the bridal march now [brb my feels are anodnfeognsje]

- so given that agatha has no one she can really ask to give her away (merlin and lancelot both offered though) she decided later on that she’d like to walk down the aisle alone because this is the fairy tale ending that she chose - that she and tedros and her friends’ worked for and help realized - and she understood that walking alone would better showcase that (plus she’d feel cheated if it wasnt august sader or even stefan to do it for her)

- when tedros finally sees agatha in her wedding dress walking towards him wearing that same heartwarming smile that captivated him years before everything just S T O P S the whole world is at a standstill and all he can do is stare at this lovely girl who he is pledging himself to after the wars they fought in between good and evil boy and girl and old and young and when she finally reaches the altar he can feel himself tearing up because until now he hadn’t really grasped that this girl - agatha his one true love - is someone who sees past his exterior and still finds more reasons to love him

- there isn’t almost a dry eye in the house - guinevere is like full-blown crying and even the other students have to wipe away a tear or two for this couple who saved their world when it needed their help the most and for teaching them the true meaning of Good and Evil and how they’re both integral to each other

- sophie is crying happy tears at the sight of her best friends getting married and she is just so happy for them it feels her with the contentment that she’d been looking for in the previous books she’s just so overjoyed and awed that this is actually happening

- agatha wasnt planning to cry - even though people told her that as the bride it was ok if she cried - but the sight of everyone so happy for her makes her shed a tear two which tedros gently wipe away (the ladies in the crowd “awww” at this)

- the rest of the ceremony flies by for tedros and agatha (they spend most of the time gazing into each others’ eyes and to attemting to stifle their goofy smiles) except for the bit of excitement that was their wedding vows

- when tedros and agatha finally kiss to signify the end of the ceremony they share a brief but passionate kiss that end with tedros lightly nipping at aggie’s lower lip (earning some wolf whistles from the everboys and a pointed throat clearing from merlin (who’s hiding a smirk behind his closed fist))

- aggie just laughs it off and share a quick smile with sophie and they proceed to walk down the aisle showered by flower petals and tedros and agatha feel that their ever after is finally beginning

*reblogging to fuel this post the qfg sampler got me terrified*
