LIVE

With all that’s been going on surrounding some bad ppl using Patreon right now (here, here) i’d like to state that you’re info is always safe with me.

Different situation but i have enough people reaching out in asks that want to be answered private which is another form of respecting someone’s privacy and boundaries. The lengths some ppl go to, to track if someone posts their paywalled CC somewhere else baffles me. I heard some of the names of those creators, they also dabbled in other drama’s in the past so i’m not surprised.

Doxxing someone is never okay. It’s a community for a freakin’ game. Messing with someone’s real life is completely f*cked up and uncalled for. Don’t want ppl to share you’re paywalled content? Try sharing it after a period of time. You’ll actually gain a bigger following because of it. Besides, i’ve you’re spending this much time on tracking(!) cc than you’re most likely keeping your content subpar bc of it. Some of them i would never give money to since the quality is soooo bad (and alpha cc, so not my ride). Ugghhhh fdlfdgklkg i’m so over stuff like this.

I personally never understood the need of emailing/messaging a creator for a share link for CC on Patreon (why not include the files in the cc post?). I’m not going to say/suggest, “don’t support creators like that” bc i don’t know the reason for them using this system and again, likely most of them aren’t bad ppl with a ill will!!! But for tracking purposes; if a creator wants to track their cc, it needs to be send out like that. Not attached to a patreon download post. Additionally, package files can be altered in S4S (or altered textures, etc) before sending them out individually to patron’s.

Please know that these are a few bad seeds among a bunch of fantastic creators that would never do the stuff they do! Like with everything else in cyberspace, you always have to stay vigilant in the steps you take/things you do/info you share, etc.

EDIT:this is a very insightful and helpful post of how to treat Patreon and what i, as a creator, can see from you! thanks @llazyneiph!
