LIVE

It was a beautiful Mother’s Day.

Busy birthday week of many yard shenanigans. I’ve been sick as heck with a head cold, so I’ve been out of work all week and have instead spent my time mowing our acre lawn with a push mower and then my brother-in-law’s acre as well! Also planted a fairy/gnome garden, vegetables, and more flowers. Shooting arrows, going to cider garden gigs in the city, and being a Texas cow girl. Here comes 41!

‘Twas a hot night in the city seeing Victor Wooten, bassist extraordinaire.

Lately things…

  • Filling the bird feeders
  • Mister’s new LOTR pipe holder
  • Guy Fieri’s Kitchen/fun casino times
  • New stoned Lisa Simpson cross stitch
  • Local soy candles
  • Swag at local Starbucks
  • Yours truly

It was a beautiful day.

Baltimore, Day 2. Visiting Fort McHenry where the Star Spangled Banner was penned during a battle of the War of 1812.

First day of spring break with the fam in Baltimore.

Can’t remember if I’ve been keeping you all up to date with my cross stitch projects. I’m currently working on a Star Wars landscape for my boss and then starting the Handbook of the Recently Deceased from Beetlejuice!

Just have to say…

After my post about the whole reblogging thing…

Y’all really stepped it up.

While part of me is horribly embarrassed about making such a vulnerable post….

I have to be honest about my feelings.

And why else are we on here if not to get attention from our fellow humans??

Thank you to everyone who commented, messaged, and especially went through my content with a little more attention maybe. I really appreciate you.

On a voyage to celebrate the life of a dear, too-soon departed cousin. I don’t know if I’ve ever travelled by air in such wintry conditions. Perhaps one other time. Current temp is -11. At least there will be no more snow storms before I make it back home. Dreading the heaviness of today but looking forward to seeing so much family. I haven’t been up here in 6 years.

New Year’s Eve! I had to work which was kinda as I ALSO worked Saturday after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve too. But we had all kinds of fun at home, playing board games & puzzling, listening to my bitching NYE playlist, drinking & eating yummy finger foods. Hope you all had a great evening as well!

Beautiful evening Thursday celebrating the New Year early so we could avoid the crowds and hang with our kids. Dinner at Fogo de Chão for the first time and Wow! What a dining experience! Quick date after to the art museum then coffee from the cafe and back home we went!

I was SOOOOooo busy this past month, I never had time to post or update about all the crazy things going on! Please enjoy a few personal posts full of fun happenings.

Spent all day mowing the back lawn (push mow!). Then hit my favorite local hipster coffee shop after dropping mister off for pipe night at the cigar lounge. Misty thunderstorms. Ice cream & cake!

A productive™️ day.

What a magical experience Saturday was, for a memorial especially, and I owe it all to the spirit of my bright & beautiful cousin. Good travels back home Sunday. Finished my Bowie cross-stitch thinking of the enthusiastic cover of “Starman” my family all sang together at the celebration of life. Mister picked me up from the airport, we grabbed a slice of fancy ass cake & a pour over, then we headed over to a quick gig. Then back to work today!! How was your weekend?

Local goodies. And a colorful lady-face.
