Inmerso en el bosque de Yayoi!!!

- En estos días visite la exposición “Natureza cósmica” de Kusama. Los “polka dots” fluían por el tronco de los árboles y subían por las ramas. Un vestido temporal muy vibrante y moderno.

smithsonian:

Yayoi Kusama’s installations are immersive, colorful, and sparkly. And for the first time ever, you can see six of her iconic Infinity Mirror rooms together in one place.

We’re giving you a sneak peek at “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors,” which opens Feb. 23 at our @hirshhornmuseum.

Kusama’s kaleidoscopic installations give the illusion of infinite space. #InfiniteKusama celebrates the legendary Japanese artist’s 65-year career, and has a selection of other key works beyond the dazzling rooms, including some never shown before in the U.S.

Free timed passes are required for the exhibition, which runs through May 14. Plan your visit at kusama.si.edu

For more photos and videos from the Kusama Exhibition, browse the #kusamaenmalba hashtag and explore the MALBA location page.

Acclaimed Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama brought her life retrospective exhibition, “‘Yayoi Kusama: Infinite Obsession,” to Latin America for the first time at Buenos Aires’s Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires, popularly known as MALBA (@museomalba). Debuting under its Spanish name, “Obsesión infinita”, Kusama’s retrospective includes polka-dotted trees lining the sidewalk outside of the museum, an all-white room that visitors progressively decorate with colored stickers and a host of art-filled, all-mirrored rooms that reflect visitors into infinity.

Kusama has been a figure in the art world since the 1940s, and her art has taken the forms of writing, painting, collage, sculpture, performance art and even large-scale environmental installations such as her ”Pumpkin“ on Japan’s Naoshima island.

Kusama’s extremely interactive art pieces make the exhibition particularly friendly for Instagrammers. “Yayoi Kusama: Obsesión infinitia” ends September 16.
