Switching out Izzy’s daughter’s Motimon or the middle Ichijouji kid’s Minomon for a Puroromon is the only retcon I want regarding the Digimon partners of the epilogue kids (that and changing it so that the baby does not get their Leafmon until he is at least 3 years because the idea of everyone having their Digimon partner from birth sounds stressful) 

Edit: I just remembered that Xiaomon exists, so that I would accept one the epilogue kids’ partners being retconned into this dumpling pupper. 

Edit: added “only” in front retcon and also changed the “will” in the first edit to “would” because as of this post, the matter of the epilogue kids’ partners being retconned is just hypothetical.
