LIVE

Love the way they randomly made Hope’s biggest regret killing Landon even though she unnecessarily murdered Lizzie and it was confirmed an episode later in the therapy box that Lizzie was her problem not Landon and how the writers also unnecessarily brought Alaric back and continued his journey of being the worse father because he didn’t even question where either of his daughters were after whining about leaving hell to “be with them” (no I did not like this episode✨)

As it is apparently gone now my final thoughts on the Hizzie sire bond are

✨I feel like it was strongly hinted when Lizzie was talking about going back in time that she definitely does not enjoy being a vampire and that’s part of how she wants “everything to be right again” so this episode again confirms for me this simply isn’t a gratitude sire bond

✨I think it’s also important to recall the sire bond doesn’t work as immediately as the show wants us to think? Damon told Elena to do lots of things which she didn’t do until later (killing Connor for example) and I think the sire-y has a lot more control of how they interpret commands than people think

✨That said, if Hope saying “kill her” is a command then is her telling Lizzie to “prove it” after Lizzie says I love you not a command too?A more important one since it came after? I think there’s a chance Lizzie is still sired and “proving her love” to Hope now by trying to get her humanity back on and stopping her from doing anything too outright horrible any longer

✨But, if the bond really is broken, again it feels like the whole thing is super weird/irrelevant if it’s not leading up to more? Hope could have just been compelling Lizzie this whole time and it’d make more sense. I think it’s no coincidence these two haven’t discussed Lizzie’s multiple love confessions or the reason for the bond yet, it’s definitely leading up to something more either in their next confrontation or when Hope has her humanity back

I feel the urge to point out that Lizzie’s whole “I relate to Aurora and maybe you do too” thing with Hope was almost definitely a hint at the fact that Hope being basically the only one at the school who hasn’t been outright ableist to Lizzie and has always respected her mental health probably means so much more to Lizzie than we’ve ever been shown. I have not forgotten that basically the entire school outright laughed at this girl and made fun of her when they thought she was dead. Lizzie feeling so much sympathy for Aurora makes perfect sense, she has been treated horribly even by her own family and friends in regard to her mental health, and I think Hope being the only exception to that is part of why it was so hard for her to watch Hope mistreating Aurora. Even if Aurora outright betrays lizzie I will simply never hold this move against her, Lizzie Saltzman has such a big heart and I adore that about her character

Legacies 4x12 thoughts, delayed by a day because if y’all thought I was joking about Hope and Lizzie’s hotness distracting me, no I was not

⚪️ This limbo storyline is still boring. I could not physically care less about Alaric/Ted and just feel bad for Landon/Aria being dragged through this

⚪️Did a post on this but needs to be discussed again because WHYYYYY does Hope look so good??? Like poor Lizzie has already confessed her love and been sire bonded to you and you still have to flaunt your attractiveness around the poor girl

⚪️Lizzie is servings looks too tho and as I said to my bestie: Landon is serving that bisexual drip we love to see it

⚪️I’m Sooooo glad I called Lizzie bonding with/relating to Aurora this is such an interesting pair up and one of the things that annoyed me so much about Auroras treatment on the originals is she was one of the first TVDu characters with a specified mental health diagnosis and treated in the most ableist way possible including by an actual therapist. Lizzie is such a beautiful empathetic person.

⚪️Also Hizzie doing their whole court cosplay? Girlfriends fr

⚪️No humanity Hope is starting to get snippy and very much being cruel just to prove she can be, almost like someone’s worried about their humanity shining through

⚪️My last thoughts on the limbo storyline, this is gross, played out in the worst way possible, and a waste of screen time. Ted/Necromancer storyline is boring and overdone. I hate Alaric, Matt Davis should have been fired already. Landon deserves better, I can not be convinced he shouldn’t have found peace immediately, and at this point I feel like they’re just gearing up for a lame reunion between him and Hope in the finale. Not to mention this entire storyline makes death in the TVDu seem so superficial like why not just bring back Klaus, Stefan, Hayley, Elijah, etc if it’s so easy?

⚪️HIZZIE HIZZIE HIZZIE. Ugh I just Lizzie is so in love and Hope is trying so hard not to be. On Hopes side of things I genuinely think part of the gratitude/betrayal she’s feeling is starting to question/care about how much Lizzie loves her. Like the whole “prove it” scene??? I’ve already done posts talking about how I don’t think Hope really believed Lizzie actually loved her until the sire bond but I think upon waking up after Lizzie “broke it” Hope was probably left stuck somewhere between “does Lizzie love me so much she wouldn’t do something she’d know I regret later” and “did Lizzie not love me enough for the sire bond to hold” either way Lizzie is Hopes humanity switch calling it✨ i’ve also always said I’d prefer an angry/bickering hizzie moment to flip her switch rather than a mushy love one because it’s simply not their style

⚪️As for Lizzie I guess I’ll continue ignoring the weird suggestion that her mental health diagnosis makes her brain work completely different. While that’s one way to see the breaking sire bond I also hold on my other possible theory of “Lizzie is sired to humanity having Hope and won’t do things she believes that Hope wouldn’t want” especially because Lizzie snapped Hopes neck and refused the bond only after Hope told her to “prove” she loves her

⚪️I was kind of interested in the Gods storyline but if they bring time travel into this…just, why??? Again it kind of breaks the series meta for me like why stop at bringing one or two people back? Anyway I kind of hope Aurora doesn’t outright betray Lizzie too terribly I actually thought it was quite sweet to see them connecting and I’d hope Aurora has at least some sympathy for Lizzie in return.

With the sneak peak that just came out I have to say:

Firstly: Hizzie Motel Room Is that only one bed I see If they’re stealing improving Delena things Hizzie motel kiss??? but also…

Secondly: Considering this scene and the scenes in the trailer i’m kind of wondering if Lizzie is going to start feeling some sympathy for Aurora and let her go or something of that nature and that’ll put her and Hope at a crossroads? Like this is SUPER overlooked but i’m pretty sure Aurora also canonly has BiPolar Disorder? I think Tristan mentions it to Elijah and the whole storyline about how she became a vamp was because she thought it would “heal her mind.” It’d be super interesting for her and Lizzie to discuss that (especially since she mentions how Tristan used to lock her away in the sneak peak) and maybe Lizzie will relate to & want to help Aurora or start to spiral around the idea her mental health is going to get worse? Maybe Hope will have to comfort her and it’ll bring back some emotions? Maybe the show will FINALLY take Lizzie’s mental health and well-being seriously…

Won’t get my hopes up but I think this would all be super interesting to see and another layer of Lizzie being a heretic/ Aurora coming back/ the sire bond that would be cool to explore
