Somewhere down a forest service road in the middle of Canada is this little yurt in the trees and if you turn around you’ll see wildflowers and mountains and you’ll probably start skipping around like a little girl cuz you’re so happy you happened to stumble on this little piece of heaven.

Sat here for a while waiting for the sun to set as the sound of thunder reverberated through the canyon walls and flashes of lightning danced across the sky. All of the sudden the sun broke through the clouds and lit up the arch in golden light. I stood up to take a photo and just happened to press the shutter button right as a bolt of lightning shot towards the arch. If there’s any wonder as to why I travel thousands of miles or wait for hours just to take a photo, I hope this settles it. These are the moments that set my soul on fire and leave me always wanting more.

Martial law’s recently been declared in my area soon after the terrorist attack on a nearby city. Thought I should take a walk with security guards patrolling the village.
