“Embrace the Chaos” workshop: Last month, I was lucky enough to attend a workshop by Libs Elliott, hosted by the Ottawa Modern Quilt Guild. Libs showed us a fun, randomized way of designing a quilt.  I finished up this small 30″ square quilt top during the workshop!

I took another class with Libs way back in November 2015, soon after I moved here from Edmonton. I never finished that quilt top, though! I thought that I might make a low-volume background for the bright hexagons that I’d started back then (see pic with the hexagons over the other patchwork) – but then decided I liked this one too much on its own!

 It felt pretty good to have something finished by the end of the day. I think I’ll add some sort of borders and make this a baby quilt!
