#life still sucks pretty bad

Happy rnm premiere day to those who celebrate.

I’m working on feeling the sweet in bittersweet in knowing our show is coming to an end. Closed canon is always better for my muse, if it ever comes back and it is looking less and less likely we will ever get a flashback to the Malex Lost Decade, so that playground remains open.

I went into season 3 with very low expectations and lots of fears about change with Chris taking over completely, but I was pleasantly surprised by it- the pacing still sucked but the emotional beats felt more logical, less head-scratching to me. Malex was always on a 0-60 in 10 second path when it came to getting together (1x06) and getting back together (3x08).  The true bright spot was all the wonderful female friendships we were served up- and just friendship in general and Dallas.

So still keeping my expectations low, Chris could have a sophomore slump too but I’ve got my fingers crossed they go out on a high.
