This is very easy liver cake for dogs recipe which is popular with all dogs. Most recipes give instructions to microwave the liver cake, but as microwaves destroy over 70% of the nutrients in food, we prefer to cook in the oven on a low heat.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1kg (2.2 lbs) of liver
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 400g (1 ¾ cups) Flour (you can use chickpea flour, nut flour – any flour you like!)
  • 4 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 4 tables spoons diatomaceous earth (optional)

Whizz everything together in a food processor. Pour into a lined roasting pan and cook at 150ºC (300ºF) for 60 to 90 minutes. Allow to cool, slice and let your dog enjoy!

You can cut into squares and once cooled freeze for when you need them.

Add anything else the dog will enjoy like tuna, sardines, grated carrot..the list is endless.
