Today we learnt: Texas has an official barbecue capital, as decreed by the state legislature. Welcome to Lockhart. Smitty’s is one of several legendary ‘cue joints, and the line was out the door when we visited for lunch (which is apparently pretty common). Definitely worth the wait though.
