Recently some students of mine have been asking about how to apply to the MAC discount (and other brands) so I thought I’d address it. First, every brand has different requirements to what is a valid form of proof indicating you are a makeup artist. Different forms of proof include, business card, website, certificate/license, comp card, tear sheet, union card. MAC requires 2 forms of proof and some companies up to 3! The reason why they require different forms of proof is because they need to see that you are a professional working makeup artist. I used my website and @cosmomakeupacademy certificate as my forms of proof and got approved. Unfortunately if you only have one form of proof it’s not enough.
