#makes me so angry

i completely DO NOT understand why or how people can get addicted to gambling. like on an external “this is the reason” level i do, i know it has to do with some risk/reward shit in your brain, but on a personal level?? no, i don’t get it. i will never comprehend that experience the way someone who can actually enjoy gambling will comprehend.

gambling minigames are even worse than fishing minigames, imo (and i fucking hate fishing minigames). they are a complete and utter waste of time. even when i’m on a ~winning streak~ every time i have to spin the wheel or pull the lever or Whatever makes me more and more pissed off. i HATE chance-based shit, especially weighted chance-based shit. even in games that are literally biased in favor of the player and simulating real gambling badly on purpose, it’s infuriating. it’s the fucking worst.

and like the worst fucking part is that in games like pokémon or stardew valley that lock some item that you need for 100% completion behind a gambling minigame, i wind up playing the stupid minigame anyway because it’s the most cost-effective method to get what i need by a factor of ten- or twenty-fold if not more, and i’m a stingy motherfucker who wants to spend as little money as possible when i have it because i grew up fucking poor lmao. so it just feels like i’m getting railroaded into wasting either money or time. there’s no winning. it’s horrible and i despise it.

i would ratherfucking grind to earn prize tokens. give me an efficient way to grind. don’t make gambling the by-far-most-efficient way to earn fucking prize tokens for unique items, game devs. fuck’s sakes.
