The Mamiya 7, alongside my Leica M6, was the “dream camera.” Well, last year I finally acquired one, beat up, but functional. Since then I’ve slowly picked up a few lenses, and this is the first photo I wanted to share. The opportunity to shoot those closest to me in my local area has been really special, and the camera itself has blown me away. I know that the Mamiya 7, like the M6, does get a lot of hype, and there are great alternatives that are way cheaper. Nevertheless, the quality has been remarkable. All my work is developed by @digitalab , but they’ve now established an exciting film focused company called @river_and_coast (I highly recommend them).

Earlier in the year I started work on a new long term project called The Southern Kingdom, a series about the landscape and identity of the Scottish Isles. I have now updated my website with several initial photographs that can be viewedhere.
