Happy Tuseday! Our feature today is the Nikon 28mm F3.5 PC (Perspective Correction/Tilt-Shift) AIS Lens. On-sale for $995! This is a purely mechanical lens for film and FX digital cameras. It works on DX cameras too. I has no auto-focus features so expect an old school manual lens experience. It’s intended to be used on a tripod to allow for the correction of converging lines in architectural and interior photography. It can be used creatively as well to exaggerate perspective and create a shallow depth of field for landscape settings.

This vintage high performance wide angle lens works with any manual focus #Nikon body ever made, film or digital, and excels especially w/ FX bodies, for that full frame fun. Buy this lens if you like things old school and manually focused though, because it doesn’t auto-focus, it does however add matrix metering to the FA, F4 and F6, and on more robust digital bodies with “Non-CPU Lens Data”.
This lens is the sharpest manual-focus lens ever made by Nikon as well as the closest focusing lens, at a distance of 7 inches (0.6 ft) or 20 cm and is the only wide angle (along with the 15mm F3.5) completely free from barrel distortion at ordinary distances.
