You and Marcus agreed to have an annual monthly date after realizing you hadn’t been on a date in a long time due to his and your respective jobs. It was his turn to plan the date this month. His dates were more laid-back, preferring a calmer atmosphere to one full of adventure, as he believes his life is already full of excitement.
Marcus had arranged a charming little picnic date this time. He enjoys the planning stage so much that he packed lots of food, drinks, and even games to keep them entertained. Not to mention the fact that he leased a pick-up truck just for this date, as his own car would be unsuitable with his plans. He also crammed a lot pillows and blankets.
Marcus drove with one hand while the other was interlaced with his sweetheart on the way to the picnic area, which was accompanied by a comfortable stillness.
It wasn’t long before they arrived at their destination, a lovely meadow brimming with vibrant flowers. Marcus was the first to exit the vehicle and set up the back of the pickup truck, neatly arranging the pillows and blankets. When he was done, he assisted you in climbing the cargo bed and then hopped up himself.
The meadow is tranquil and devoid of people, with the exception of the two of you. What a great date it is, nibbling on delectable treats, laughing together while playing games, and generally enjoying each other’s company.
When you’re having fun, time flies, and before they realized it, the sun was sinking, signaling that their date was coming to a close. “I wish we could stay here forever.” You frown as you draw closer to his figure. “As wonderful as it sounds, honey, our forever will have to wait.”
“But the sun hasn’t completely set yet!” Can’t we stay a bit longer? Please?” You looked at him with the sweetest puppy eyes, trying to prevent him from refusing. Little did you know, this man would go to any length for you, and those eyes you gave him only added to his love for you. “Of course, we can stay an hour or so longer. It’s been a lovely day, hasn’t it?”
“Yes, it is. Thank you for this date, my love.”
