“There is always a way to try to find a compromise with the reality of having a job and create the time and space for yourself, to follow your dreams and work hard for them. I think you should manifest that discipline for yourself. I think true discipline is one of the most important things if you have a goal to accomplish. You have to try. I have a lot of friends who have changed careers in their thirties and it’s pretty scary to think that they spent their entire twenties doing something that really didn’t make them happy and they took this huge leap of faith to totally change careers and it’s a one of the bravest things anyone can do because it’s totally terrifying. But they always end up being happier.”

We did a movie a few years back called ‘Snowpiercer’, and the director is Korean, so we went to South Korea. And we landed, we were coming out of the airport, and it was a zoo, just a mad, like we were the Beatles. People were screaming, they had one little rope to stop people, and that rope just got bulldozed, and very quickly we were surrounded, it kind of got a little nerve racking for a minute, and security came in and whisked us out of there. And producers later that day were like “Man, we heard what happened at the airport, we’re so sorry, it’s never gonna happen again”, and I said “Hey, it’s not a big deal”. And a couple days later we left Korea, I get back to the airport, and as I’m walking in, there was a van behind us.
