Heirloom masa harina tortilla chips baked with #caramelghee from @healtholicious.bkk and a bit of sea salt. Seriously the best snack I have ever had!!! (If you are into mega crunchy stuff, this is IT ) Even Noa asked for more. Tomorrow I have to make a lot more. Today we milled nixtamalized heirloom Bolita Belatove corn. Noa found that very interesting, he even ate a few corn kernels before milling and didn’t spit them out. Very tasty compared to popcorn I used to test! The purple color is gone, however. posting more in stories later!

We just chopped up some home made jerky, cheese and jalapeño chili and wrapped them in the tortilla! So simple but delicious. Funny enough, tortillas made with masa harina do not make us feel stuffed, and we feel that it is very easily digested. We love it!

Corn is so demonized by the health industry but masa is really a different story. It is definitely my no. 1 choice for starch from time to time, it is a great, nutrient-dense superfood!!!
