God is great… just weeks after graduating from university in Shanghai, the campaign images i shot for GUESS x 88 Rising are up on billboards & in storefronts all over the world. if you told me four years ago that this boy from Queens would make it this far in Shanghai, China, i wouldn’t have believed it. 

a little story time: 

i remember when i first fell in love with photography as a teenager, all i wanted was a camera. my mom constantly told me to give it up & tried convincing me to focus on getting into college (and study medicine or law). but i always knew this was my true calling, so giving up was never an option. i used that tough love as fuel. looking at this billboard reminds me of the sleepless nights curating images on tumblr and researching the greats to create a moodboard for who i wanted to become. after saving up almost a year’s worth of lunch money, i bought my first camera & the rest is history. this is just a reminder that if you have a dream, don’t wait for anyone’s approval — get up and chase it. trust your intuition. go forth with full force & confidence. the universe will meet you halfway when you least expect it. the sky is just the beginning ❤️
