#matthew swift
A papercraft of Matthew Swift from the, well, Matthew Swift book series! His eyes had to be a bright, sort of electric-looking blue, so I ended up turning to my trusty highlighters for the base color. Highlighters are excellent for producing super-vivid color, but oddly enough, they don’t scan very well (maybe they’re too saturated?), so I always have to go back in with Photoshop and brighten the color back up to how it looks irl. I guess my scanner simply can’t handle the intensity!

Just had the horrible thought that Matthew Swift would be a tumblr sexyman if he wasn’t from a relatively unknown fantasy novel from 2009
Matthew:
- Is canonically thin and pale enough to freckle
- Wears a long coat
- Has weird glow in the dark blue eyes
- Is extremely pathetic
- Has a tragic backstory
- Got cool but angsty superpowers plus daddy issues from that backstory
- Commits atrocities
And considering the lack of any conveniently placed shipping fodder, I can only assume that were the books a tv show, tumblr would get up to levels of insanity unseen since the onceler days
Unfortunately, Chi, I believe that a TV show would have Sinclair, also known as “Angel!Matthew’s surrogate father figure”, be TV attractive rather than how he was described in the books in order to portray his authority. In this hypothetical TV show, I believe Matthew/Sinclair would be the popular ship.
