The best part abt people perpetuating the Griffin McElroy is the (infinity) doctor thing is that there are three distinct categories of responses you can expect:

1. Vocal support

2. People going through the five stages of grief

3. People who don’t know what the fuck is going on but support griffin as the doctor anyways

Can someone explain this..? Huh? What does Griffin McElroy have to do with Doctor Who? I’m very curious…

Ok so i figure i should probably give an actual explanation for this and hope Light doesn’t come for me in the middle of the night.

So some (most) of you probably aren’t aware of the book The Infinity Doctors by Lance Parkin, where the Doctor is in an unnamed incarnation that doesn’t quite fit the appearance of any known Doctor. Now, there are strong points to make about the Infinity Doctor looking like Paul McGann, like the fact it’s listed as both a first Doctor and eighth Doctor novel, but for now we’re going to push it aside.

There are only a few instances where the Doctor is described, however the first time they do it is this: “He  wore  a  thick  cotton  night‐gown.  His  long  face  was oval, with an aristocratic nose and a full mouth. He had a high forehead, emphasized by his close‐cropped hair. He had sad blue eyes, and he was clutching an old book.”

The “clothes he normally wore” are described as “a  battered  cashmere  jacket,  pressed  silk  shirt  and  tailored  tan  trousers.” They also wear glasses.

During the period I was reading the book I drew a few drafts of how I was picturing them in my head. The result was various dark haired Griffin McElroys.

“Ok,” I thought, “This is a funny joke.” Then I checked the Infinity Doctor’s wiki page and was reminded of this image:

Then I died and I haven’t stopped thinking about the Infinity Doctor as Griffin McElroy since. Oh, and Griffin’s secret society outfit (minus the cape and hat) is basically their outfit.

So, in conclusion,
