You know I haven’t watched Agent Carter but I kinda would’ve liked to see A reveal that Peggy ended up marrying Howard and she is Tony’s mom. Just because I saw a ship vid of these two and because I’d have liked to see Steve’s sheer hypocrisy of “chill dude, my BFF only killed your parents” turn into “WHAT YOU KILLED MY CRUSH FROM 80 YEARS AGO OYU FUCKER LET ME FIGHT U”
I’ve been thinking something like this for a few years.
But don’t make it a surprise twist that Peggy is Tony’s mom, make it a known fact, and the first thing Steve and Tony hate about each other when they first meet. Steve trying to be the nice dude and not be a Snape to Tony’s Harry Potter, and Tony just openly hating this dude for being so adored and gushed over by BOTH his parents (not in the same way though).
Then when Steve learns Bucky killed his lost lover, he has tons of inner conflict. And when he lies and Tony finds out, his rags is compounded by, “you claimed to love my mother and you …” Etc
Finally, it would be much better if Peggy and Howard had noth died trying to fight the Hydra infestation at SHIELD, instead of dying clueless about it.
