foundlingmother:

Alright, I’ll give them that I do find the concept of Loki facing off against a group that polices the multiverse intriguing. There’s an interesting chaos vs. order discussion in that concept.

My fears are:

  1. That it will be poorly written garbage with bad characterization.
  2. That they will lean into a traditional hero/villain narrative when the Time Variance Authority sounds terrifying. Please, oh my god, do not make the fucking shadowy bureaucracy and self-proclaimed overseers of reality the Good Guys. Let’s have some moral ambiguity on both sides.
  3. That the focus will be on silliness over substance. I want substance with a side of clever humor.

It also now makes sense to me how Loki might end up time traveling. The TVA gets involved because the Avengers’ cock-up fucked with this universe and now they have to catch Loki–try to course correct. Their agency, of course, possesses time travel technology (for Loki to get his hands on).

This is the first bit of information that’s done anything for me. We’re a step closer to me maybe considering watching Loki.

On an obviously unrelated note, I still have no plans to pay for Disney+
