I’m doing t-shirt designs inspired by stuff I like that isn’t all that easy to find. My first batch is up with more to come (*coughBeastWarscough*).

Samus is 6'3" and, as the galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter, probably had her fair share of rough battles. She’s also had a few hair styles so for this I gave her a short look.

Revised/updated this image for the text version of my video about Metroid’s influences beyond the film Alien. I changed “1986” to the eerie official Switch Online palette instead of the usual super-bright emulator palette.

Hey you! Heard about the sweet new Metroid game coming out? Curious about the series? Ever wanted to see what it’s about? Well you’re in luck because I’m doing a crash course of the whole Metroid series LIVE on stream. If you’re new to the series and you wanna get caught up, or you’re an old fan who just wants to relive everything before the new game, you won’t want to miss this event!
We’ll be playing through all six games in the 2D Metroid series in release order:
- Metroid (NES)
- Metroid II: Return of Samus (GB)
- Super Metroid (SNES)
- Metroid Fusion (GBA)
- Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA) (Remake of Metroid for the NES)
- Metroid: Samus Returns (3DS) (Remake of Metroid II for the Gameboy)
Additionally, I’ll be streaming Metroid Dread on release day, so that’s something to look forward to. The streams will follow my normal schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1pm-4pm EDT.

My favorites are the Zero Mission ones.
Samus Aran’s metroid-infused DNA makes her more susceptible to cold temperatures, so I guess that means she’s canonically one of those people that’s just cold all the time?
And I guess that knowledge led me to rendering her with her entire fist stuffed into a mug of hot cocoa? Anyway…
The model itself is from Smash, I just made the winter wear.
