“Taigoujie (Dog Carrying Festival)” is a unique Miao (ethnic group) folk custom passed down in Jiaobang Village, Gedong Town, Jianhe County, Guizhou province. Its aim is to give thanks toward dogs for finding life-saving water for [the villagers’] ancestors, learn to be grateful, and to promote the equality of all living things.)
