For your consideration…

Emmy nominations are just around the corner, and we need your help to make sure that Poirot and Foyle’s War receive some long-awaited Emmy recognition! The shows and actors have never before been submitted for Emmy consideration, so Acorn TV is thrilled to submit their series finales, Curtain and Elise.

Pleasevisit Gold Derby, the leading awards predictor websiteto cast your vote. Simply create an account, select “The Emmys” from the top navigation menu, scroll to “Emmy Predictions” and “Add Your Predictions,” then select “Emmy Nominations.” Then, scroll down to vote for TV Movie (Curtain: Poirot’s Last Case and Foyle), Movie/Mini Actor for David Suchet (Poirot) and Michael Kitchen (Foyle’s War), Movie/Mini Supporting Actress for Honeysuckle Weeks (Sam), and Movie/Mini Supporting Actor for Hugh Fraser (Capt. Hastings).

The more user votes they get, the better chance they have of moving up in Gold Derby‘s predictions. To vote, just click the arrow next to the show/actor.

abjectadmirer:

Here we are. The recent digging-up of quality unseen material by @sunabashedcollector inspired me to a mission of discovery. And Getty Images delivered once again.

The credit goes to Michael Putland for this puckish shot promoting The Comedy of Errors (1983). His special interest is snapping rock and pop musicians in the throes of what they do. And so it’s likely that we owe this Kitchen gem to Roger Daltrey’s presence in the cast (as Dromio) alongside Mr K. But nobody’s complaining. Here it is, and ain’t it nice?

For your enjoyment, I include a few more curly Comedy of Errors shots.

… plus a “clean” one of the Putland image.

Lovely set of stills, btw

Yes-the gentleness of his character is definitely the part I’m missing.  And the crazy…. .

Nooooooooooooo!!!

Yeah, the crazy. That’s verymissable.

And the Farrow face-acting.

But you’re right about the outtakes….such a rare treat for this fandom.

*sigh*

Will there ever be anymore?

Farrow on a Friday!

I’d love to see Farrow meet Foyle.

Nice to see this big post come up again!
