(ID - an MS paint doodle of miles o’brien from Star Trek: deep space nine. He’s a white middle aged human man, drawn from the neck up in black lines. He’s smiling, and has a bit of blush on his cheeks. End ID)

DS9 companion quote from Sid. “O'Brien and Bashir didn’t get along back then. They loved not getting along. Over the course of the episodes, Colm and I developed the relationship purely out of what we thought we’d most enjoy hating about each other. And after that we were forever doing the same stuff to each other off set as we did on set, making life hell for each other, in the nicest possible way.”

I had not noticed this aaa

Oh Julian, how I love you.

One of my favorite things about DS9 is how Miles is just a dude. We got 300yo worms and a genetically engineered superhuman and whatever is going on with Sisko and the prophets (which is just the Star Fleet officers not including whole other planets of aliens) but in the middle of it all there is a dude from Dublin who is, in every way, just a dad trying to fix his lawnmower and it’s great.
